Hoover City Schools proudly celebrates its highest-ever State Report Card score with a district-wide grade of 95, marking an increase from last year’s stellar 93. This historic achievement reflects the dedication and hard work of our students, teachers, staff, and community in empowering academic excellence across the district.
The Hoover City Schools leadership team is proud of our teachers for going above and beyond to review student data, find areas for improvement, and put strategies in place to help every student grow academically each year.

Districtwide Highlights:
Record-Breaking Score: HCS achieved a district-wide score of 95, its highest-ever on the State Report Card.
Statewide Excellence: HCS is among the top-performing districts statewide, with 13 of our 16 schools earning a 95 or higher—a district record.
Consistent Growth: All 16 schools maintained or exceeded last year’s report card scores.
Top Scores: Six schools earned scores of 99
Title I Success: All Title I schools in the district earned an A grade.
EL Proficiency Gains: English learner proficiency increased by an impressive 7% from 2023.
College and Career Readiness: Increased nearly 6%, reaching 91%.
Graduation Rate: Improved by over 2%, now at 95%.
HCS Chief Learning Officer Dr. Chris Robbins is thrilled with the district’s continued positive progress and is incredibly proud of the daily efforts of each school to support and educate students.
“This record-breaking score demonstrates our progress and determination to meet the needs of our students. While we celebrate this milestone, we will continue using data to identify areas for growth and build on this success. We couldn’t be prouder of our schools, educators, and students,” Dr. Robbins said.
