At its election, the Board may allow a set time for public comment at regularly scheduled meetings. Speakers must register to speak with the designated Board representative before the meeting. Each speaker will be limited to three minutes. If there are multiple speakers on the same topic, the number of speakers may be limited at the discretion of the Board President.

Meet the Board Members
BOARD PRESIDENT - MR. ALAN PAQUETTE
Mr. Alan Paquette currently serves as the president of the Hoover City Board of Education. He was appointed to the Hoover City Board of Education in 2021.
BOARD VICE PRESIDENT - MR. REX BLAIR
Mr. Rex Blair currently serves as a Board of Education member for the Hoover City Board of Education. He was appointed to the Hoover City Board of Education in 2023.
BOARD MEMBER - MRS. AMY TOSNEY
Mrs. Amy Tosney currently serves as a Board of Education member for the Hoover City Board of Education. She was appointed to the Hoover City Board of Education in 2017 and reappointed in 2022.
BOARD MEMBER - MR. JEREMY VICE
Mr. Jeremy Vice currently serves as a Board of Education member for the Hoover City Board of Education. He was appointed to the Hoover City Board of Education in 2025.
BOARD MEMBER - MRS. SHELLEY SHAW
Mrs. Shelley Shaw currently serves as a Board of Education member for the Hoover City Schools Board of Education. She was appointed to the Hoover City Board of Education in 2024.
