Hoover City Schools, serving the vibrant city of Hoover within the Birmingham metropolitan area, is a leader in education with a commitment to excellence. Our 16 schools, including 10 elementary, one intermediate, three middle, and two high schools, are guided by a dedicated five-member Board of Education. Appointed by the Hoover City Council, this board ensures our system thrives academically and operationally.
