Kindergarten registration

Hoover City Schools is excited to welcome our upcoming kindergarten students! Kindergarten registration for the 2025-2026 school year opens Tuesday, March 4. If your child will be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2025, they are eligible to start kindergarten this fall. Visit Hoover City Schools' website for registration details, required documents, and instructions to complete the registration process. We can’t wait to welcome our upcoming kindergarteners to our HCS family!

To ensure a smooth registration process, please see the following required documents for new students:

• Proof of residency (lease agreement or recorded deed)

• Current utility bill (water, power, internet, or gas)

• Birth certificate

• Parent/Guardian Photo ID

• State of Alabama Immunization Record

• Withdrawal slip from the previous school (grades 9–12)

• Custody documents (if applicable)
